Ames is currently a Technical Development Associate Scientist in Biological Technologies at Genentech where they develop and validate bioassays to support products in various phases of clinical development. Prior to joining Genentech, Ames earned a B.Sc. in Chemistry from University of California, Berkeley and a Ph.D. in Chemical Biology from the University of Washington. In their spare time, Ames enjoys road bicycling through scenic places and solving crossword puzzles.
